Ozone is a highly reactive gas, composed of three oxygen atoms, that can react with soft tissues in the body and cause breathing difficulties. It's naturally produced during electrical storms and can also be manufactured through a machine that electrifies the air as it passes through a charged grid. These machines are called deionizers.

When oxygen has been altered in this way, any living thing that depends on oxygen should not breath this ozone gas. This includes humans, animals and plants. It can cause respiratory, sinus cavity, and eye irritation, along with allergic reactions and asthma attacks.
